Savor the moment

January 17, 2011

Savor the moment, it may not come again.

While taking the dog out this morning for his ritual, I couldn’t help but notice the amazing sunrise. The sky was blue and pink, like ribbons of cotton candy hanging so close it felt as if I could reach out and touch the fluffy pink puffs as they floated by. I ran into the house to grab my camera and came back out to get a picture. I almost missed it!

Life, like sunrises and sunsets, can provide the most beautiful moments. But like this sunrise, they can disappear in the blink of an eye. Take a minute to enjoy what comes at you, really enjoy. A moment stopped to enjoy the eye candy in front of you, a few minutes to play with the dog, an afternoon to enjoy family or friends, these are the true gifts of life. I know there will be more sunrises here, each one different, unique and often breathtaking. And each one needs to be savored, for that particular moment will never come again but will live in your heart for a lifetime!

And of course if you have your camera handy, it will live for others as well!

P.S. The colors in this photo have not been enhanced.
