I had lunch in the office yesterday, which usually ends up in a lively debate. Yesterday we had a discussion about setting a listing price. More of the agents in our office feel that the list price needs to be higher. They argued that buyers want a bargain, want to negotiate. I was the only one who said a home needs to be aggressively priced to sell. I think that mentality is a sellers market mentality and will prolong the agony. I also think that smoke and mirror tactics like that are dangerous. Have they learned nothing? What are your thoughts on this?beating head on desk
